Things
are changing for all Dezert Divas' customers. I will be selling much of my own collections
plus all the extra’s I had saved up for you. The economy has gone to hell in a hand basket and with my health going
downhill, So it just seems to make sense to move over and keep letting the best be the best, I will
never catch up, I will still be making OOAK dolls, fashion and jewelry, I just can't work as fast as the rest of the world. I have a real problem concentrating so I have several projects I am working on, but this does allow me to think longer about how I want things to look, therefore items have much more thought and attention to details.
Originally Dezert Diva Dezines was
created to offer 11 1/2" OOAK Barbie's "Showgirls" with a flair
for the Southwest with beaded fashions, complete with beaded headdresses. Also
to provide collectors of 11 1/2" fashion dolls a bit of desert chic
apparel and beautiful jewelry to top off the look. As well as changes in fashions:
from conservative to very risqué`. But this seemed to be a failure as well.
Somewhere along the way, Barbie
Collectibles were added and as the collection grew and grew and is still
growing, therefore the need to be getting this inventory out to you, my fellow
collectors. And with me putting up for
sell some of my prized dolls, I hope you will be pleased with the selection;
from play line to (if I can let go) my only convention doll, and my one Platinum
label.
And by now, just in case you haven’t
heard Dezert Diva Dezines has made even more exciting additions, which, of
course has kept me busy for the last 2 1/2 years or maybe 3 years as well as working on Barbie
items/dolls. I have decided to take my artistic penchant in a parallel avenue
while still maintaining my labor of love for my Collectible Barbie's, my OOAK
dolls, fashions and jewelry as well.
The first thought came to me when there
was a local craft fair and I suddenly had an urge to make distinctive women's
jewelry, and since then I have been selling pieces in a local Bead Store but
decided to move this venture to my website to add even more variety for us
“live” Barbie’s. Besides the local shop went belly
Secondly, along came a wonderful little
Chihuahua (rescue) who is aging well, still playful, and very loving. My Pain
Specialist said she is my ‘medicine”. And in the true spirit of Dezert Diva
Dezines she definitely needed some crystals and pearls to show off with the
cute clothes I bought her. So we decided that the live dolls needed some
jewelry for their "Ms Honey's" as well.
